Terms And Conditions For Skip Hire
By hiring equipment or services from Bluesky Skips, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions. The customer undertakes that all Bluesky Environmental equipment will not be overloaded or improperly used and that prohibited waste is not placed in skips unless agreed in writing.

General Conditions

Any order requiring Bluesky Skips vehicles to leave the public highway is undertaken entirely at the customer’s own risk. The customer accepts full responsibility for any resulting damage to individuals, property, or vehicles.

Bluesky Skips shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from a failure or delay in supply caused by circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to) acts of God, fire, accidents, machinery breakdowns, labour or material shortages, or customer negligence.

A maximum of 15 minutes is allowed for loading or unloading. Delays beyond this period may result in waiting time charges.

Bluesky Skips reserves the right to charge all costs incurred due to cancellation or variation of an order, including loss of profit and any consequential losses.


Skip Hire Conditions
-
Skips must not contain prohibited or hazardous waste (including asbestos, fridges, TVs, tyres, fluorescent lamps, gas cylinders, plasterboard, or any hazardous waste) unless agreed in writing in advance.

The hirer is responsible for obtaining any required local authority permits for skips placed on public roads or land. Permit arrangements can be made by Bluesky Skips at an additional cost.

Skips must not be overloaded by volume or weight.

8-yard skips must not be filled above the sides.
-
Larger skips (14–40 yard roll-on roll-off) are for light waste only or must remain within legal road limits.

Overloaded or unsafe skips may be refused for collection, with additional charges applied, including wasted journeys.

Fires in or near skips are strictly prohibited.

The hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the skip (excluding fair wear and tear) and will be charged the full replacement value if damaged or removed.

Skips must not be moved once placed without prior consent.

The maximum hire period is 7 days. Rental charges of £3.50 per day may apply after this period if collection is not requested.

Responsibility for the skip remains with the hirer until it is collected by Bluesky Skips.

Tipping & Waste Disposal

Bluesky Skips is registered with SEPA as a licensed waste carrier.

Customers accessing Bluesky Skips sites do so entirely at their own risk. The company accepts no responsibility for injury or damage to individuals or vehicles.

Vehicles may only access designated areas of the site.

Only waste permitted under site waste permits or exemptions may be deposited.
-
Bluesky Skips reserves the right to refuse any material deemed unsuitable or objectionable.

All waste must be accompanied by a valid controlled waste transfer note, including:

The note must include a description of the waste and the EWC code.

Source of the waste.

The details of the waste carrier and their registration number are also provided.
These requirements apply to all disposal activities, including property clear-outs and multi-occupancy waste removals, and are carried out in accordance with the Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations 1991.
Health & Safety

The customer must provide safe and suitable access for waste servicing vehicles.

The customer is wholly responsible for the safety of all individuals on their premises, including Bluesky Skips employees and agents.

All risks associated with siting, loading, use of equipment, and waste servicing at the customer’s premises remain the customer’s responsibility.
Damage To Property
-
Bluesky Skips shall not be held liable for damage arising from equipment failure or driver actions while operating under customer instructions.

The customer agrees not to hold Bluesky Skips responsible for any costs associated with damage incurred on their premises.

The customer accepts all risks relating to the placement of skips on their property.
Payment Terms
-
Account holders: Payment terms as agreed.
-
Non-account holders: Payment required prior to skip delivery.
-
Bluesky Skips reserves the right to refuse service or collection of skips until full payment has been received.
